Role overview
The British Council is seeking a full time Teaching Assistant Coordinator to be based in Ho Chi Minh City, coordinating the work of Teaching Assistants in a busy and growing teaching centre.
Key responsibilities and main duties include:
As Teaching Assistant Coordinator you will be responsible for recruiting, coordinating and supervising a team of Teaching Assistants, as well as offering administrative support where needed. You will work closely with Customer Management professionals, carry out teaching assistant duties yourself and will make sure that the Teaching Centre's young learners are properly supervised at all times while on-site.
Some shift work, including weekend working on a rotational basis, and occasional evening work can be expected in this job.
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate strong evidence of behaviours and similar experience, including:
Essentially, applicants will have at least two years' practical experience in a coordinating role, with experience of class administration.
A degree in a relevant field is essential, together with skills and knowledge in language (both English and Vietnamese), computer (Microsoft Office).
