The final joint workshop 'Enhancing Resilience for Society with Digital Technologies: Case Studies of Urban Farming and Healthcare', taking place on 12 March 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City marks the culmination of two ambitious Going Global Partnerships projects, funded by the British Council, that have fostered innovative collaborations between the UK, Viet Nam, and Indonesia.

The first project 'Urban Resilience in Agriculture Through Highly Automated Vertical Farming' is a testament to the successful partnership between Middlesex University and Van Lang University. They have pioneered advancements in technologies for urban farming that not only bolster food security and demonstrate the significant potential for sustainable urban agriculture but also highlight the awareness, adoption, and impacts of urban farming on the environment and economy, in the context of Viet Nam and the UK.

The second project 'Developing Connected Curriculum on Digital Twin for Health System Resilience Networks', in collaboration with Universitas Gadjah Mada, has made strides in enhancing healthcare systems through digital twin technologies. This innovative approach provides a framework for resilient health networks that can withstand and adapt to the dynamic challenges of modern healthcare.

The joint workshop aims to share the outcomes and cross-country knowledge gained from these projects, fostering a dialogue on how digital technologies can enhance community and societal resilience which will align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on the critical areas of urban farming and healthcare.
