The British Council places special emphasis on ensuring that all candidates take Aptis ESOL in Vietnam in a completely safe and secure test environment to guarantee accurate and reliable test results.
We are aware of widespread attempts to commit fraud in the name of Aptis ESOL, online and offline. Fraudsters usually pretend to be associated with the British Council or our Aptis ESOL distributors and claim to:
- have access to Aptis ESOL test materials
- be able to influence Aptis ESOL test day procedures
- register test-takers for their test directly with the British Council or Aptis ESOL distributors.
- be able to supply test content to you before the test.
Fraudsters advertise widely online on social media (e.g. Facebook, Zalo etc.), in forums, through dedicated websites, emails or messaging applications. Fraudsters may also approach test takers in person at test centres, test venues or at preparation schools, claiming to have insider connections.
We ask our test takers not to believe these false claims and scam offers, as the shortcuts they appear to offer are not genuine. Aptis ESOL test registration and fee information is clearly available on the British Council website and Aptis ESOL distributor websites.
Multi-layered security systems and stringent checks are in place at all stages of the test delivery process to safeguard Aptis ESOL integrity and reliability as a high-stakes test approved by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training according to the Decision 3646/QĐ-BGDĐT.
All stages of Aptis ESOL test delivery are continuously regulated and reviewed according to the robust rules and standards set out by internationally renowned regulatory bodies such as Ofqual; responsible for regulating qualifications, examinations and assessments in England.
Essential to ensuring maximum Aptis ESOL test security is the British Council’s zero-tolerance response to malpractice with penalties in place for all forms of test taker fraud.
All test takers found to have engaged in malpractice at any point before, during or after their Aptis ESOL test date will have their test result withdrawn with the likelihood of a one-year ban on taking Aptis ESOL also imposed. Aptis ESOL recognising institutions may also introduce their own penalties where fraud is detected and reported.
