Where can you take IELTS in Vietnam?
The British Council delivers IELTS test dates across Vietnam. You can choose to take your IELTS test on paper or on a computer. Whichever you prefer, you will need to come to a test centre to sit your test. Find out more.

IELTS Test schedule/timings
Your Listening, Reading, and Writing sections of the IELTS test will be completed on the same day with no break in between. In Vietnam, we are running tests in the morning, between 9:00 and 12:00.
Choose your IELTS Speaking test slot
If you take IELTS on paper, your IELTS Speaking test will take place on a different day to the other sections of the test, in a 7-day window before or after the main test day.
You can choose your Speaking test slot and format whether you take IELTS on a computer or on paper. If we need to change your IELTS test Speaking slot due to unexpected reasons, we will notify you by email or phone.
Looking to work, study, or live in the UK?
If you need a UK student visa or a visa for working or training in the UK, you may need to take IELTS for UK Visas and Immigration (IELTS for UKVI) or IELTS Life Skills.
*The IELTS TEST PARTNERS no longer offer IELTS for UKVI on Paper in Vietnam for any test dates after 29th September 2024. Test takers can still take IELTS for UKVI on Computer in Vietnam.
