This year's New Directions East Asia will take place on 27-29 October as a three-day event in Hanoi, Viet Nam.

The conference will commence with an opening plenary on the evening of Friday 27 October, with a discussion session and refreshments afterwards. This is followed by two full days of conference proceedings, which include:

  • four more plenary sessions
  • two panel discussions 
  • 35 paper presentations
  • nine Spotlight sessions
  • one symposium.
