Established in 1532, Stamford Endowed Schools are located in Stamford, an exquisite, historical market town, recently voted by the Sunday Times as ‘The best place to live in Britain’. Whilst nestled quietly amidst the idyllic Lincolnshire countryside, Stamford is a safe town to live and yet is still within close reach by road or rail of London and easily accessible to Stansted and Heathrow airport.

The schools pride itself on not only great location, but also outstanding boarding houses, their beautiful grounds, and most importantly outstanding academic results. If you are looking for an exciting and inspirational environment that offers all the best values of family life in a structured boarding setting, then you should choose Stamford.

The schools’ blend single sex and co-education together. It is comprised of Stamford Junior School (co-ed 3-11), Stamford High School (girls 11-16), Stamford School (boys 11-16) and the Sixth Form (co-ed 16-18), the Stamford Endowed Schools provide a first-class education to 1,600 day and boarding pupils.

The schools’ academic record is excellent and pupils are taught a wide-ranging curriculum in small class sizes. The separation of girls and boys in the GCSE years allows for better tailoring of teaching, but with boys and girls re-united for their sixth form studies as they prepare for university.

The schools strive to encourage pupils to make the most of opportunities beyond Stamford. They do this by providing a structured two-year Higher Education and Careers Programme to support Stamford Sixth Form students throughout their university application process. Guidance is given in a range of areas such as writing a personal statement, navigating the UCAS system, preparing for interviews, and choosing the right course. After completing their A-levels, over half of our leavers progress to Russell Group universities in the UK, studying a wide range of courses.
