Overview and background to the project
British Council in Vietnam’s English Programmes team is seeking a consultant to support a Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) – appointed Advisory Council to develop two sets of programme standards for pre-service English language education, aligned with the Vietnamese Qualifications Framework (VQF) (2016). One set of standards will relate to English pedagogy and one set of standards will relate to English language.
Expected outputs and outcomes of the project are summarised as follows:
Outcome 1 – Clear programme standards are established and implemented for English pedagogy and English language education in Viet Nam which reflect a closer alignment between the theory and knowledge taught at academic institutions across Viet Nam, and the practical skills needed to better prepare students for employability upon graduation.
Outcome 2 – The UK is recognised as a partner of choice for quality English language policy development.
