The impact of climate and environmental change on sleep and physical activity will be explored in this series of events designed to spark discussion between academics and the wider community.
The programme will begin with a multidisciplinary conference at which leading experts in the field will present their findings, followed by a ‘sandpit’ event in which researchers and industry specialists will share ideas and collaborate on a series of proposals for future research.
About the collaborators
This project is led by Professor Raymond Lee (University of Portsmouth) and Dr Anh Tuan Mai (VNU University of Engineering and Technology) who are established researchers with an international reputation in health technology and biomedical engineering.
They are supported by a multidisciplinary team of academics including Dr Nguyen Phi Le (a computer scientist, Hanoi University of Science and Technology), Dr Rebecca Stores (a psychologist, University of Portsmouth) and Dr Danna Ariel (an artist as well as a researcher, University of Portsmouth).
How to take part
The project will host a series of public talks and a photographic exhibition in November 2023 that will explore the topic from a creative perspective and mentorship opportunities for early career academics in the field.
Dates will be announced in June 2023.
