KonTum is the last among four locations of the Community Cultural Heritage strand, the Heritage of Future Past. The film crew had an opportunity being in KonTum, meeting with people here to understand how Bahnar people are proud of their gong music and along with that is their dream in preserving the traditional music of Bahnar people in KonTum.
This short film records the project activities in KonTum. Along with teaching the gong to younger people, the compilation of a handbook on gong-playing culture and the collection of ten old gong compositions are part of the efforts being made by organisations, authorities and local people to preserve their cultural identity.
