Part of the GREAT British week celebrations, the UK Film Festival 2013 had events in five major cities in Vietnam: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong, Danang and Can Tho and was the first time outdoor screening was organised in the rural district of Hoa Vang, with participation of hundreds of local people.
Films shown included Local Hero (1983), A Private Function (1984), The Witches (1990), Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994) and Shaun of the Dead (2004).
As an extension to the UK Film Week in Ho Chi Minh City, a UK Animation Day took place with a selection of four short films including Back to School Mr Bean, A Day of Mr Bean, Lost and Found and a collection of three shorts from British Animation Now.
