In 2019, the British Council in Vietnam is allocating partnership funding support ranging from £15,000 to £20,000 per partnership project to support collaborative partnerships between the UK and Vietnam through the UK–Vietnam Higher Education Partnership (UK–VN HEP) initiative.
The UK–VN HEP is designed to address the needs of the higher education sectors in the UK and Vietnam, particularly the internationalisation of higher education and support Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training to implement its higher education reform agenda.
The British Council is pleased to invite expressions of interest (EOI) from UK and Vietnam higher education institutions (HEIs) to deliver innovative output-led projects that focus on enhancing approaches to internationalisation of higher education. The partnership project will run until March 2020 and cover one or more of these key areas:
- leadership and governance
- TNE development and quality assurance
- university-industry link.
In 2018, some ten partnership projects were funded by the British Council and the UK–Vietnam Higher Education Network was established with participation from 30 Vietnamese and 14 UK HEIs and some Vietnam-based employers.
Current members of the UK–Vietnam Higher Education Network will also be eligible to bid for additional funding support provided the
- additional funding leads to enhanced project impact
- project has increased its number of participating UK or Vietnam HEIs
- project partners meet fund requirements of the call.
Full details about the UK–VN HEP guidelines can be found here.
