The feature-length documentary Đoạn trường vinh hoa (Pain and Glory) follows a tuồng troupe as they travel and perform through the Mekong Delta countryside, illuminating individual struggles against the context of a traditional theatre form increasingly losing its hold of modern-time audiences. The film is directed by Le My Cuong and produced by Thanh Nguyen (in co-operation with Vietnam Television), and is slated for a Summer 2020 wrap.
