Liberation Radio is an immersive and interactive gallery installation in Hanoi that explores the dynamics between the history of a country and the micro-histories of its people. Through a multi-disciplinary approach that blends cinematic fiction and real-life, sound art and story-telling, the project features contribution from Vietnamese sound artist Nhung Nguyen (Sound Awakener), UK writer, journalist and broadcaster Matthew Sweet, and video artist Esther Johnson. Direct responses from installation visitors are also woven into the multi-threaded story, rendering it a constantly-evolving, living archive of both the past and the present.
